Terms of Service

1. Purpose and scope

These terms set out the conditions for using the mobile applications ("apps") that Ggeomddakji ("we") distributes through the App Store and Google Play, and our website (www.ggeomddakji.com). By downloading or using an app, you agree to these terms.

The terms of the store you downloaded from (Apple's Standard EULA or the Google Play Terms of Service) also apply. Personal data is handled under our privacy policy and each app's own policy.

2. The service

The apps work without an account or sign-in, and their core features are free.

What you record in an app is stored on your device or in your own cloud account (iCloud, Google Drive) if you connect one. We run no server that holds your records, and we cannot see them.

3. Paid features and payment

Some apps offer in-app purchases (such as a developer tip or a feature unlock). Payment is handled by Apple or Google, and your payment details never reach us. The price and what you get are shown in the store before you buy.

A purchase can be used again on any device signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account. If you paid and the feature did not unlock, try the app's "Restore purchases" first, then contact us.

4. Cancellation and refunds

Because the store processes payment, refunds follow that store's process: reportaproblem.apple.com for App Store purchases, or your order history in Google Play.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights that applicable consumer-protection law gives you.

5. Advertising

Some apps show Google AdMob ads. Watching a short ad for a reward, such as a hint, happens only when you choose to; no ad is ever required to use an app's core features. Advertisers are responsible for the products and services in their ads.

6. Connected services

iCloud, Google Drive and Google Sheets are used only when you turn them on.

If you use Google Drive backup or exchange expenses with Google Sheets, the app asks for permission through Google Sign-In and can access only the files it created itself — its backup files and expense sheets (the drive.file scope). It does not read or change any other file in your Drive. You can disconnect it at any time in the app or in your Google Account's connected apps.

Your use of those services is governed by their providers' (Apple's, Google's) terms.

7. Your records and backups

What you record in an app belongs to you. We keep no copy, so if records are lost because a device is lost, the app is deleted or cloud settings change, we cannot recover them. Please keep important records with the app's backup feature.

8. Accuracy of information

Exchange rates shown in the apps come from external providers and are for reference only; they may differ from the rate your bank or card issuer actually applies.

An alarm may fail to sound depending on the device's power, operating-system settings or update state. Please use another reminder as well for anything you must not miss.

9. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• use the apps for any unlawful purpose;
• reverse-engineer or modify an app, or copy or redistribute it without permission;
• obtain ad rewards or paid features by improper means;
• interfere with the normal operation of the apps or the website.

10. Intellectual property

We hold the rights to the apps and the website, including their text, artwork and puzzle data. You may use the apps for personal, non-commercial purposes. Open-source components included in the apps are subject to their own licences.

11. Changes to the service

We may change, add or remove features through updates, and may stop distributing an app. Changes that affect a feature you paid for will be announced in advance and handled as applicable law requires.

12. Limitation of liability

We build and maintain the apps with care, but we do not guarantee that they will work without error on every device and in every situation.

We are liable for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence. We are not liable for damage arising from causes beyond our control, such as natural disasters, changes to operating systems or store policies, or outages of external services such as Apple's or Google's. This section applies to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we post the new text and its effective date on this page. Changes that are unfavourable to you are announced 30 days in advance, other changes 7 days in advance. Continuing to use the apps after the effective date means you accept the changed terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We will first try to resolve any dispute in good faith by email; any lawsuit shall be brought before the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

This does not limit any rights that consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you.
